TKP's February 1 'We Defy' event held

The "We Defy Like Ships Facing the Waves" event organized by the Communist Party of Turkey (TKP) took place on February 1 at the ATO Congresium.

'FACTORIES, FIELDS, POLITICAL POWER, EVERYTHING WILL BELONG TO LABOR'

Before the event, party members, party friends, and other participants chanted slogans such as "Factories, fields, political power, everything will belong to labor," "Long live the Communist Party of Turkey," and "No passage for Sharia, Fascism, and Darkness."

REFERENCE TO THE SOVIET UNION

During the event's program, while the history of the TKP was being recounted, references to the October Revolution, a revolution for humanity, and the Soviet Union drew attention.

TRADITION REMEMBERED

Important figures of the Turkish left, such as Mustafa Suphi, Şefik Hüsnü, Hikmet Kıvılcımlı, and Behice Boran, were made to speak through artificial intelligence in light of their own words.

Through this presentation, the TKP emphasized that it embraces the revolutionary tradition of these lands.

'TO RAISE THE COMMUNIST PARTY OF TURKEY UP AGAIN...'

As the "We Defy Like Ships Facing the Waves" event neared its end, TKP General Secretary Kemal Okuyan spoke. At the beginning of his speech, Okuyan responded to the "Fake TKP" allegations frequently voiced against the TKP in intra-left polemics, stating, "Raising the Communist Party of Turkey up again required a very difficult struggle within the Turkish left. The force that raised the name of the Communist Party of Turkey up again had earned the right to perform this function long ago."

OUR JOB IS TO FIGHT THE AKP

Okuyan explained the direction of the TKP's struggle by saying, "Those we walk with on the left are our friends; we have no business with polemics; our job is to fight the AKP," and emphasized the struggle against the AKP with the following words:

"We said the AKP is counter-revolution, market terror, hostility toward labor, hostility toward secularism, and collaboration with imperialism. We said fighting the AKP is our priority. We said those we walk with on the left are our friends; we have no business with polemics; our job is to fight the AKP. We said the AKP is counter-revolution, market terror, hostility toward labor, hostility toward secularism, and collaboration with imperialism. But once again, we were faced with the left, or those disguised as the left."

EVALUATION OF THE RESOLUTION PROCESS

Making evaluations regarding the resolution process, Kemal Okuyan said, "No light will come from here, nothing will come for the poor Kurds. There are tribes here, companies here, there is the desire of the US and UK, there is Israeli blackmail and pressure... No light will come from such a blind, dark point; only trouble will come," and added, "There is only one solution to the Kurdish question: A social system that will distribute the resources and production of this country equally to all our citizens."
