Ümit Özdağ's swift response to Bahçeli's 'Erdoğan' remark: He didn't work this hard for himself or the MHP

MHP leader Devlet Bahçeli, in his speech at his party's group meeting, clearly expressed that AKP President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan should be president once again. 

Arguing that Erdoğan should be president once again if the terror problem is solved, Bahçeli said, "They say we are looking for a way to get our President elected. Our goal is to end terrorism in the New Century. If terrorism is rooted out of our lives, if a blow is dealt to the inflation monster, if Turkey rises to the top politically and economically, isn't it natural for our President to be elected once again? For continuity in the state, stability in politics, and as the guarantee of the Century of Turkey, President Erdoğan is the only option."

A response and a call came from Zafer Party Chairman Ümit Özdağ to these words from the MHP leader. In a post on his account on the social media platform X, Özdağ stated, "Bahçeli did not work as hard for himself and the MHP as he worked for Erdoğan."

Devlet Bahçeli, who says let's pardon Öcalan with the right to hope, let him speak in the TBMM, and break taboos, continues: “Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is the guarantee of the construction of the Century of Turkey and must be elected again.”

In his post, Özdağ also made a call to MHP members, saying, "I invite all MHP members who have even the slightest love and respect for the late leader Türkeş to the Zafer Party."
