ELECTRICITY PRICE HIKE IS COMING

A 25 percent increase in electricity used in residential areas is expected starting from April 1.

According to journalist Olcay Aydilek, energy management has completed preparations for the price hike to be implemented from April 1. Unless there is a last-minute change, a 25 percent increase in residential electricity is anticipated.

'WE DO NOT FORESEE AN INCREASE UNTIL APRIL'

Minister Bayraktar had answered a question regarding natural gas and electricity bills during a television program he attended in February.

Stating, "Our goal is to avoid reflecting the incurred costs to our citizens as much as possible," Minister Bayraktar had said, "In this sense, we are hopefully getting through the winter without any price increases or hikes for households in natural gas and electricity. We do not foresee an increase for households until April."
