Erdoğan signs off: Supreme Military Council decisions published in Official Gazette
The decisions of the Supreme Military Council (YAŞ) have been published in the Official Gazette. Accordingly, the term of Naval Forces Commander Admiral Ercüment Tatlıoğlu has been extended by one year effective August 30, 2026, while General Rafet Dalkıran will take over as Commander of the Air Forces. On the same date, the promotions of a total of 94 personnel in the Land, Naval, and Air Forces will also come into effect.
The appointment and promotion decisions made at the Supreme Military Council (YAŞ) have been published in the Official Gazette with the signature of AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
According to the decision, the term of Naval Forces Commander Admiral Ercüment Tatlıoğlu has been extended by one year, effective from August 30, 2026.
Combat Air Force Commander General Rafet Dalkıran has been appointed as the Commander of the Air Forces.
Within the scope of the YAŞ decisions, it was decided to promote 19 generals, 6 admirals, and 69 colonels serving in the Land, Naval, and Air Force commands to the next rank.
The promotion decisions will also come into effect as of August 30, 2026.
