SGK issues 'double payment refund' statement: Citizens warned

The Social Security Institution (SGK) has announced that emails sent with the subject line "double payment refund" are intended for fraud.
The institution stated that there is no such transaction conducted under this name and that the emails in question are designed to steal personal information.
In its statement, the SGK noted that fake emails regarding "double payment refunds" have been sent to citizens in recent days, emphasizing that such emails should not be trusted.
It was stated that the institution only sends informational SMS and emails, and that these communications do not request personal information or IBAN numbers.
Citizens were advised to contact the SGK via the Working Life Communication Center ALO 170 and CIMER, or to obtain information from Provincial Social Security Directorates/Centers if they receive a suspicious email.
