Apple takes the long-awaited step: Touchscreen MacBook is coming! The date has been set

It has been claimed that Apple has reached a new stage in its long-discussed plan for a MacBook with a touchscreen. According to information based on industry sources, the company is preparing to introduce its first MacBook Pro model with touchscreen support in October.

The new model is expected to bring notable changes to the design and display of the MacBook Pro series. It is stated that Apple will incorporate the Tandem OLED technology used in iPad Pro models into this device. This technology stands out with higher brightness, strong contrast, and vivid color reproduction.

According to the claims, there will be an area in the upper part of the screen similar to the Dynamic Island known from iPhone models. However, it is stated that this area will be designed to be smaller than the one on iPhones, and that the new MacBook Pro will not include Face ID support.

EXPECTED INNOVATIONS

On the design side, the device is expected to come with a thinner and lighter body compared to current MacBook Pro models. How this change will affect thermal performance is not yet clear. It is assessed that Apple is trying to maintain a balance between portability and performance in the new design.

On the hardware side, it is claimed that the new MacBook Pro will be offered with M5 Pro and M5 Max chip options. Thus, it is noted that Apple may continue with the M5 family instead of M6 Pro and M6 Max, leaving next-generation chips with more advanced production processes for a later stage.

On the software side, special adjustments are expected for touch usage. Sidecar support and menu bar changes, which are said to be seen in macOS 27, indicate that the interface may be redesigned for finger use. Among the expected innovations are the enlargement of controls when menu items are touched and the highlighting of options based on context.

There are also notable claims regarding pricing. It is reported that the increase in memory costs may be reflected in prices, and that the 14-inch model is expected to start at 2,499 dollars, while the 16-inch model is expected to start at 2,999 dollars.

There are also rumors that Apple may introduce a more affordable, entry-level MacBook Pro model with an M7 processor in the coming spring months. It should be noted that since no official statement has been made by the company on the matter, all this information may change until the launch date.
