Previously, there were claims that Apple was developing its own Wi-Fi chip. Following reports that it had halted its 5G modem efforts, problems have now emerged in the development of its Wi-Fi chips. Despite being restarted a while ago after being halted at the beginning of the year, the Wi-Fi project has been terminated.

APPLE HAS GIVEN UP ON DEVELOPING ITS OWN 5G MODEM AND WI-FI CHIPS! AT LEAST FOR NOW

We know that these Wi-Fi chips, which were expected to appear in the iPhone 17 series, will not be produced in the near future at the very least. According to reports, the work could take years.

While Apple sources its 5G modems from Qualcomm, it supplies its Wi-Fi chips from Broadcom. Apple needs to work harder to surpass these two leaders.
