Blue Origin successfully launches New Shepard rocket
In the U.S., Blue Origin, the aerospace company founded by Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, has successfully launched its "New Shepard" rocket following a failed attempt in 2022.
According to a CNN report, the New Shepard rocket successfully completed its mission at Blue Origin's facility in West Texas.
The rocket landed successfully back on Earth shortly after releasing its payload. Blue Origin employee Erika Wagner stated, "We look forward to our next crewed flight."
The launch of New Shepard had been canceled on December 18 due to system issues.
THE 2022 ATTEMPT HAD FAILED
An unmanned spacecraft belonging to Blue Origin had experienced a failed test in 2022 due to a malfunction that occurred minutes after launch.
The New Shepard, which was launched for the 23rd time from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Texas, was unable to continue its journey shortly after liftoff due to a problem in the rocket section.
