Claims for foldable iPhone Ultra gain strength: Front screen protector leaked

A new leak has emerged regarding the iPhone Ultra, which is expected to be Apple's first foldable phone. Ice Universe, known for their leaks, shared images of the front screen protector allegedly belonging to the device, along with a short hands-on review video.

In the shared images, it is seen that the accessory deviates from conventional symmetrical screen protector designs. The corners of the protector, which are stated to correspond to the hinge side, have more square lines, while a more rounded structure is noticeable on the corners facing the outer edge.

At first glance, this form creates the impression that the screen might come with an unbalanced geometry. However, according to claims, since the screen protector covers the entire front panel, the actual screen may have equal bezel thickness and symmetrically rounded corners on both sides. Therefore, the shape of the accessory may not directly show the final design of the screen panel.

EXPECTED TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

It is suggested that the iPhone Ultra will adopt a line close to large-screen foldable models such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 and Huawei Pura X Max in terms of form factor. According to leaks, the device will feature a 5.5-inch outer screen on the cover side and a large 7.8-inch foldable inner screen when opened.

On the hardware side, it is claimed that Apple's yet-to-be-introduced A20 Pro processor could be used. It is alleged that the phone will come with a 5,000 mAh capacity battery, carry a 48 MP resolution dual camera setup on the back, and feature 18 MP selfie cameras on both the inner and outer screens.

The most notable claim regarding security is the return of TouchID. There is talk that Apple could use an in-display or power button-integrated fingerprint reader in this model. However, all this information is currently in the nature of a leak; no official statement has been made by Apple regarding the design, name, or technical specifications of the iPhone Ultra.
