Claims of a glass design for Apple's 20th-anniversary iPhone: Not canceled, could move to the Pro series
In response to a cancellation claim by a Jefferies analyst, Mark Gurman wrote that Apple is continuing its glass-heavy iPhone Pro design for 2027.
New claims have emerged regarding the glass-heavy design that Apple is reportedly preparing for the iPhone's 20th anniversary in 2027. In a report based on supply chain sources, Jefferies analyst Edison Lee claimed that a special "all-glass" iPhone project had been canceled due to low production yields.
It was also among the claims that the model in question could come with a price tag of approximately 2 thousand dollars. However, following this report, Bloomberg writer Mark Gurman shared a different assessment regarding Apple's 2027 plans.

GURMAN: PLANS ARE CONTINUING
According to Gurman, Apple has not abandoned its new glass-focused design language for the 20th-anniversary iPhone. However, this design is expected to be moved to future iPhone Pro and Pro Max models rather than being an independent and completely separate model. It is stated that these devices are referred to internally by the company as V73 and V74.
According to the information provided, the front and rear glass surfaces in the new design will curve toward the edges, and there will be a thin metal frame between the two surfaces. For this reason, it is stated that the more radical concept of being "completely free of metal elements" may have been shelved in the early stages of the development process, but this does not mean a recent cancellation.

There has been no official statement from Apple on the matter. Therefore, the final design and special anniversary positioning of the 2027 iPhone series are currently being evaluated based on analyst reports and information provided by technology journalists.
