Countdown begins for total solar eclipse: Will it be visible from Turkey?

Spain is preparing to witness a total solar eclipse for the first time since April 15, 1912. The eclipse, which will take place on August 12, is among the astronomical events being closely followed by both sky enthusiasts and scientists.

The total eclipse will be observable from northern Siberia, the eastern coasts of Greenland, the west of Iceland, and parts of Spain. In Canada, the northeastern United States, and Northwest Africa, the eclipse will be visible as a partial eclipse.

In Spain, the total phase of the eclipse is expected to last a maximum of 1 minute and 48 seconds. The start and end times of the eclipse will vary depending on the observation location.

The August 12 eclipse will also mark the beginning of a notable series for Europe. Following this event, another total solar eclipse will occur on August 2, 2027, and an annular solar eclipse will take place on January 26, 2028.

The total solar eclipse in question will not be visible from Turkey. The next solar eclipse that will be observable from Turkey will be a partial solar eclipse occurring on August 2, 2027.
