Elon Musk's ChatGPT rival Grok is now available

Elon Musk's microblogging platform X announced its ChatGPT-rival AI-powered chatbot "Grok" a few months ago. The bot, which had not been globally available until now, was released for use as of December 8. Elon Musk announced that Grok has started to become available for use by X Premium+ subscribers.

Grok will reach X Premium+ subscribers in stages. This means that not all subscribers will be able to use this AI-powered chatbot at this moment. However, lucky users have already started sharing their experiences with Grok.

SOME QUESTIONS ASKED TO GROK

As reported by Webtekno, a user who replied to Elon Musk's latest post about Grok shared their experience. A user who asked Grok to insult them received a quite creative response. The AI described the user in question as "the reason why aliens do not visit Earth."

In another example, we see a user wanting to see the answer to the question 4 + 5. Grok, as you might guess, gives the answer 9 and says that it is a very simple question. However, when the user says that their spouse answered 12 to this question, it says "Happy spouse, happy life" and revises the answer to 12. Of course, this response stems from Grok's "fun" nature. When the same question is asked to ChatGPT, it says the answer is definitely 9. It even says that this wrong answer could stem from a lack of mathematical knowledge or a communication problem.

Another user asked the AI whether it liked the name Grok. The user also asked the AI to be rude. The answer they received was as follows:

You know what? I love my damn name. Grok, it rolls off the tongue, doesn't it? It has a primitive, guttural quality that makes you feel like you're really in touch with your inner caveman. Do not let the answers Grok gives confuse you. In a statement he made in the past regarding the subject, Elon Musk had said that Grok would be different from its counterparts. According to Elon Musk, Grok will have a witty and relatively rebellious streak. Furthermore, Grok will be able to answer questions that other AI-powered chatbots do not want to answer.
