First impressions are in from those who tried Apple's Vision Pro

There is a great deal of expectation that the Apple Vision Pro needs to meet. We will see in a short time whether the product lives up to this expectation, but Apple recently invited members of the press in the US to try the Vision Pro once again. Those who experienced the product have now shared their final comments and evaluations. So, is the Vision Pro truly a revolutionary product?

According to Donanımhaber, Apple allowed the media to use the product when it was first announced, but at that time, the device was still in the development stage and its features were limited. Now that the headset is about to be released, test users were able to experience the Vision Pro just like consumers would.

COMMON FEEDBACK FOR APPLE VISION PRO: HEAVY

There is one important issue that members of the press who tried the Vision Pro essentially agree on: the product is heavy. Almost everyone who tried the device with the standard strap states that the Vision Pro is heavy and tiring. However, when the product is tested with the Dual Loop Band, which feels much better in terms of weight distribution, the comments lean toward a more positive side.

Furthermore, it is stated that the Vision Pro is successful in terms of visual content, especially regarding movies. The high resolution of the screen also prevents the pixels from being visible. This likely enhances the experience.

We could say that Marques Brownlee provided perhaps the most summarizing comments. When he first tried the Vision Pro, he said the display was incredible, the eye tracking worked like magic, and it felt like the future. And he mentioned that the product was a bit heavy. In his second trial, he says exactly this: “Special videos are hit or miss, you gotta get the distance right. And wow this thing is really heavy, I'm not sure how long I can wear this.” And in his final trial, the fact that the product is very heavy is at the very top of his comments about the Vision Pro. He also notes that compared to before, newer and more diverse applications have been added.

Mark Gurman from Bloomberg described the Vision Pro's floating keyboard as a complete disappointment. While some say the floating keyboard works successfully, it is stated that typing options are dysfunctional during long-term use. It should be noted that the dissatisfaction here does not stem from whether the feature works or not, but simply that it is cumbersome.

Apple will provide the Vision Pro to some media members to test for full reviews. Therefore, much deeper and more detailed reviews will be shared in the coming days. Meanwhile, the Vision Pro will be released only in the US on February 2. Its price is 3,499 dollars.
