The amount Google pays Apple to remain the default search engine on iPhones: Approximately 20 billion dollars!
Due to the policies Apple follows, it is quite difficult for other companies' applications to be featured on its devices. The company, which sidelines apps like Spotify in favor of Apple Music, also does not offer browsers like Google Chrome as the default on Safari. However, a newly emerged report reveals that Google makes payments to Apple to overcome this situation.
GOOGLE COULD FACE TROUBLE OVER ITS AGREEMENT WITH APPLE
The search engine giant Google pays Apple between approximately 18 billion and 20 billion dollars each year to remain the default search engine on iPhones.

Google also has an agreement with Apple to remain the default search engine on iOS devices. The details of this agreement, called the Information Services Agreement, have emerged, and the research firm Bernstein had claimed that billions of dollars are paid to Apple every year.
It is said that this agreement between Apple and Google could also be in jeopardy as part of the antitrust lawsuit filed against Google.
In the new analysis report, it is estimated that under the agreement in question, Google spends 22 percent of its total advertising revenue on traffic acquisition costs, and Apple receives 40 percent of that.
