Why is a new iPhone released every year? Answered by Cook
Apple CEO Tim Cook answered the question 'Why is a new iPhone released every year?' during an interview.
Apple introduced its new iPhone 15 series at its event in early September. Following this, some issues were reported, but these problems have been resolved, at least for now, with the new version of iOS 17. Meanwhile, Apple CEO Tim Cook has begun giving many interviews.
'OFFERING A NEW iPHONE EVERY YEAR IS A GREAT THING'
In an interview where Cook made statements regarding Apple's new zero-emission goals, he was asked, 'Why is a new iPhone released every year?' According to Cook, offering a new iPhone every year is a great thing, and it is important for the ecosystem that people trade in or upgrade their phones that no longer work. Here is his full response;
“I think it’s a great thing to offer an iPhone every year for those who want it. What we do is allow people to trade in their phones or upgrade them. And if they are still working, we take those phones and resell them. If they aren't working, we have found ways to take them apart and get the materials to make a new iPhone.”
Tim Cook also answered a question about what the iPhone 20 or iPhone 30 might look like. According to him, it will be carbon neutral, but he does not want to give away all the secrets. We have to wait and see.
