Liquid metal printing system developed! Builds in minutes
MIT researchers can produce furniture or parts for specific needs much faster with a liquid metal printing system.
Scientists have developed a new system. Thanks to this liquid metal printing, metal parts are produced in a very short time. Although it is currently a quick solution for meeting specific needs, the system uses aluminum. Other metals that can be liquefied may also be used in the future.

The parts produced in this new system, which focuses on speed, are not smooth or flawless, but it is a highly practical process.
In the published printing video, the team, which prepares legs for furniture such as chairs and tables, prints the parts in a short time and makes them ready for assembly.
