Samsung Galaxy S26 FE unveiled: One UI 9, Galaxy AI, and 4,900 mAh battery stand out

Samsung Electronics has announced the Galaxy S26 FE, the newest member of the Galaxy S26 family. According to the company's statement, the model is positioned as the first phone in the series to launch with One UI 9, combining advanced camera features with Galaxy AI tools.

Jay Kim, Executive Vice President and Head of the Customer Experience Office of the Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics, stated that the Galaxy S26 FE was designed to bring features unique to the Galaxy S series to a wider user base. Kim expressed that the phone will stand out in daily use with its camera, artificial intelligence, and One UI 9 experiences.

CAMERA AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE FEATURES

The Galaxy S26 FE features a triple rear camera system. The device includes a 50 MP wide-angle camera, a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and an 8 MP telephoto camera offering 3x optical zoom. The front camera comes with a 12 MP resolution.

According to Samsung's statement, the phone also includes the My FanCam feature, which automatically tracks and keeps the selected person in the frame. Horizontal Locked Super Steady is offered for more stable video in action shots, while Nightography support is provided for low-light conditions.

On the software side, One UI 9 and Galaxy AI features stand out. With Photo Assist, photos can be edited using natural language commands. Gemini support aims to automate multi-step processes with a single command. The Circle to Search with Google feature also allows for searching multiple items in an image simultaneously.

The Galaxy S26 FE has a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The device features an Exynos 2500 processor, 8 GB of RAM, and storage options of 128 GB, 256 GB, or 512 GB. Coming with a 4,900 mAh battery, the model can be charged up to 65 percent in approximately 30 minutes with 45 W wired charging support.

The phone's connectivity options include 5G, LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Wi-Fi Direct, and Bluetooth 5.4. The device, which has an IP68 water and dust resistance certification, runs on One UI 9 based on Android 17.

Samsung announced that it will offer up to seven generations of operating system updates and seven years of security updates for the Galaxy S26 FE. It was stated that the model will go on sale in select markets starting September 4, 2026, in Blueberry, Graphite Gray, and Pistachio color options. No information regarding the price in Turkey was shared.
