A magnificent farewell to Bosnia and Herzegovina legend Edin Dzeko

Edin Dzeko, one of the iconic figures of Bosnian football, concluded his national team career with the match against Sweden. Dzeko, who started in the first 11 in the match played at Bilino Polje Stadium in Zenica as part of the UEFA Nations League, which ended 1-1, left the pitch to applause in the 63rd minute.

The experienced striker, known by the nickname "The Diamond," left his place to Haris Tabakovic as he was substituted. Thus, Dzeko wore the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team jersey for the last time.

In the final part of the first half of the match, the ball Dzeko sent into the net was not counted as a goal on the grounds that the ball had gone out of play before the position. The match ended in a 1-1 draw.

Bosnian fans filled the stands to watch Dzeko's final match in the national jersey. It was noted that fans also occupied the balconies and windows of buildings overlooking the pitch around the stadium.

After the match, Dzeko's family also came to the sidelines. The star footballer, who was carried on the shoulders of his teammates, later walked around the pitch to bid farewell to the fans.

Edin Dzeko finished his Bosnia and Herzegovina national team career with 152 matches and 73 goals. These figures have ensured that the experienced footballer is remembered as one of the most important figures in the country's football history.
