Behind the scenes of the black market ticket allegations at Galatasaray: Why did Ali Yüce resign?
Journalist Fatih Altaylı, speaking on the 'black market ticket' allegations at Galatasaray, explained the background behind the resignation of board member Ali Yüce.
Allegations of 'black market tickets' at Galatasaray Sports Club have become a major topic on the sports agenda.
In a statement issued by the club regarding the allegations before the Young Boys match played at Rams Park, it was stated: "We invite the authors of these speculations to prove their claims as soon as possible; if they cannot prove them, we declare that we will treat them with the same struggle we wage against the enemies of Galatasaray."
The statement bore the signatures of all board members.
While it was reported that some board members reacted to their signatures appearing on the text despite not having approved it, board member Ali Yüce announced his resignation following these events.
Journalist and Galatasaray Congress Member Fatih Altaylı explained both Ali Yüce's resignation, the names mentioned in the black market allegations, and the details of yesterday's critical board meeting on his own YouTube channel.
Altaylı's statements are as follows:
WHY DID ALI YÜCE RESIGN?
The night before, the Galatasaray Sports Club management, along with certain black marketeers within it and the black market gang acting as patrons for the president or the president's boss, had a statement published against me and Hayri Kozak. While this statement was being published, very few board members were actually aware of it, yet all of their signatures were placed at the bottom. And the honorable members of the board said, "We were not aware of this decision, we did not agree to sign this text, why are you publishing this text, especially on the evening of such an important match?" but they received no answer. Ali Yüce had decided to resign at that time, but he postponed his resignation until yesterday so as not to overshadow the match and so the team would not be negatively affected. He resigned yesterday afternoon, and in the evening, he attended the board meeting to give a stern speech against the people he believes are in a state of moral weakness. Ali Yüce was the person I trusted most in today's Galatasaray management. Because he was a serious man who knew his job well and was successful in his own professional life. If the board of directors is 10 units, 6 units of it is Ali Yüce. Another person on the board I can call a man is Niyazi Yelkencioğlu. But since Niyazi is a softer-hearted man, he may not act as principled as Ali Yüce and may not resign, but I don't think he is very pleased with this disgrace and what is happening either. Other than these two, I don't see many men on the board anyway.
WHAT HAPPENED AT THE BOARD MEETING?
"Let me tell you one of the more serious aspects of the matter. Ali Yüce's father, Ahmet Yüce, is a very old acquaintance and friend of mine. I have often been at odds with him on Galatasaray issues, and the reason for that is Dursun Özbek. Ahmet Yüce was one of Dursun Özbek's most important supporters for years. Ahmet Yüce is also a boss who is a symbol of kindness, famous for giving his employees 26 salaries in bonuses every year. He is also a very good person. There is someone on the board named Bora Bahçetepe, a former 'Adnancı' (follower of Adnan Oktar) and a close man of Acun Ilıcalı. Ahmet Yüce buys a large number of tickets for every match and distributes them to his friends, and he says, 'How do we know Ahmet Yüce isn't doing black market business with the tickets he buys'... I mean, Ahmet Yüce could buy that 'Adnancı' remnant Bora Bahçetepe 750 times and sell him 750 times, and leave the money he earned as a tip. This Adnancı remnant says such a thing to Ahmet Yüce because his son acted on principle and resigned. Ali Yüce does not recognize his father or his father's boss outside of his principles. They are being this disrespectful.
"THEY WILL CLOSE THE ISSUE BY CONDUCTING A PSEUDO-INVESTIGATION"
If you ask me, today's Galatasaray management is finished. Look, I'm telling you this, we are hearing now that to cover up this incident, they will form a committee from the council of elders of the divan board and close the issue by having them conduct a so-called investigation. They are going to put İrfan Aktar at the head of it. During his time as divan president, İrfan Aktar was one of Dursun Özbek's staunchest supporters and is a man who acted against Galatasaray traditions by not accepting the petitions prepared by members who wanted to overthrow Dursun Özbek with a vote of no confidence. They want to close the issue by conducting a pseudo-investigation with a commission headed by him and with people who have nothing to do with it.
That is not how an investigation is conducted; there are specialized organizations for researching these matters. You make an agreement with one of them, they come and look at everything from both a police and financial perspective, and they produce a report. I challenge the management; I will pay the money out of my own pocket, let them make an agreement with such a company, I will pay the money. Let's see, let them investigate, let it come out who is a thief and who is not. Let them look into the drivers' phones, bank accounts, and the bank and financial accounts of certain board members and the intermediary people responsible for these matters—we have their names—let's see what comes out. Their discomfort with Erden Timur was because of this. They thought they wouldn't be able to pull these things off so easily while Erden Timur was there. They realized they did this much more easily with Dursun Özbek, that's why they got rid of Erden Timur, and now they are running wild. Dursun Özbek is not exactly lily-white either, but we don't lie."
"LET THE BANK ACCOUNT BE CHECKED"
Let the bank accounts of Eray Yazgan, Alper Narman, and Bora Bahçetepe be checked. How much tax have they paid? Let them at least look at whether the tax they paid is proportional to their assets and the status of their companies compared to the wealth they possess. Laws regarding money laundering and certain investigations by MASAK (Financial Crimes Investigation Board) could reveal what these people are up to. I am already going to prepare and send a petition to the tax office regarding these individuals.
