Beşiktaş notifies KAP of Orkun Kökçü transfer

Beşiktaş has completed the transfer of Orkun Kökçü following the signings of David Jurasek and Tammy Abraham.

Orkun, who arrived in Istanbul yesterday to sign a contract with the black-and-whites, underwent medical examinations today. According to the statement made by Beşiktaş, the 24-year-old midfielder was subjected to various tests.

Kökçü underwent detailed blood tests and was examined in the orthopedics, internal medicine, ophthalmology, ear, nose and throat, general surgery, and cardiology departments. The medical checks were completed with lung and stress tests.

FIRST STATEMENT FROM ORKUN

Beşiktaş's new signing, Orkun Kökçü, made his first statement at the airport.

The national footballer expressed his happiness regarding the transfer, stating, "I am very happy to be here. I have transferred to my Beşiktaş, which I have dreamed of since childhood. I will play in front of these beautiful fans. This is something I am proud of. I have been in the stands myself in the past and attended matches. I will do everything in my power for this crest. We will play for championships. I hope we will experience championships. We will continue happily as a family. I am very impatient and excited."

BEŞİKTAŞ ANNOUNCES FINANCIAL DETAILS

The cost of the Orkun Kökçü transfer was announced in a notification made by Beşiktaş to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP).

The statement from the black-and-white club is as follows:

"An agreement has been reached with the club and the player himself regarding the transfer of professional footballer Orkun Kökçü. No loan fee will be paid to the Sport Lisboa E Benfica-Futebol SAD club for the 2025-2026 season. Furthermore, in the event that the conditions in the contract are met, the provision for the permanent transfer of the player will come into effect, and starting from the 2026-2027 season, a transfer fee of 25,000,000 Euros will be paid to the Sport Lisboa E Benfica-Futebol SAD club in installments until 2030.

According to the agreement made, the player will be paid;

5,000,000 Euros guaranteed salary for the 2025/2026 football season,

5,000,000 Euros guaranteed salary for the 2026/2027 football season,

5,000,000 Euros guaranteed salary for the 2027/2028 football season,

5,000,000 Euros guaranteed salary for the 2028/2029 football season,

5,000,000 Euros guaranteed salary for the 2029/2030 football season, to be paid in its Turkish Lira equivalent, calculated based on the Euro (EUR)/Turkish Lira (TRY) foreign exchange selling rate announced in the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (TCMB) foreign exchange rates table."
