Fenerbahçe defeated Azerbaijani side Turan Tovuz 2-0 in a friendly match played during the international break in the Trendyol Süper Lig.
The first half of the match, held at Tofiq Bahramov Stadium, ended goalless. The Yellow-Navy Blues secured the result with goals found in the second half.
The first goal that brought victory to Fenerbahçe came from N’Golo Kante in the 60th minute. The lead doubled in the 74th minute with a goal scored by Çağrı Balta. The score did not change in the remaining time, and the match ended 2-0.
Following the international break, the Yellow-Navy Blues will travel to face Çaykur Rizespor on Saturday, October 10, in the 7th week of the Trendyol Süper Lig. Fenerbahçe will then be the guest of Aston Villa on Wednesday, October 14, in the 2nd week of the Champions League.
