Galatasaray in Europe's top 10 with 24th league title
Having finished the 2023-2024 season at the top of the Süper Lig, Galatasaray is among the teams with the most league titles in Europe. Portugal's Benfica holds the title of the team with the most championships among the top 10 leagues in Europe.
The yellow-red team ranks 10th among the teams with the most league titles in the countries currently in the top 10 of the UEFA rankings.
Galatasaray is among the top 10 teams with the most league titles across the English Premier League, Spanish LaLiga, Italian Serie A, German Bundesliga, and French Ligue 1—considered Europe's five major football leagues—as well as the Portuguese, Dutch, Belgian, Turkish, and Czech leagues.
In Turkey, which ranks 9th in the UEFA country rankings, Galatasaray has 24 league titles, followed by Fenerbahçe with 19, Beşiktaş with 16, Trabzonspor with 7, and Başakşehir and Bursaspor with one each.
BENFICA HOLDS THE TOP SPOT
Portugal's Benfica holds the title of the team with the most championships among the top 10 leagues in Europe.
Benfica has managed to bring the trophy to its museum a total of 38 times in the Portuguese league.
Real Madrid from Spain, Juventus from Italy, and Ajax from the Netherlands follow Benfica with 36 titles each.
