İsmail Kartal speaks ahead of Lyon match: We have determined our strategies

As Fenerbahçe prepares to host Lyon in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League play-off round, manager İsmail Kartal made assessments ahead of the match. Kartal stated that they have examined the opponent in detail and clarified their plans for the first leg.

The manager of the yellow-navy team said, "We worked together on Sunday. We analyzed our opponent well. We had already watched their previous matches. We have determined our strategies for Tuesday."

Emphasizing that Lyon is a team with organized and athletic players, Kartal drew attention to the importance of fan support. The experienced coach stated, "We respect our opponent. They are a good and organized team with athletic players. We trust the energy of our fans. We need to play this match together. We want to get the best result before the second leg."

Kartal also provided information regarding the latest situation within the team. Stating that he is satisfied with Talisca, the manager said the player is trying to implement what is asked of him. Conveying that Vedat Muriqi's preparation level is approximately 70 percent, Kartal stated that the final decision will be made after the tactical training session.

Announcing that Ederson will be in the match squad, Kartal stated that the player is currently in a condition to play. Speaking about Lukaku as well, Kartal said that the footballer is not yet 100 percent ready but will be in the squad.

Regarding Lukaku, Kartal said, "He is a very brave and courageous player. He is a very positive person. We transferred him to make use of him. He is a very experienced and strong player. He currently has no excess weight; he only has an issue with his endurance. We will eliminate this in a few weeks."
