Message from Romelu Lukaku to Fenerbahçe: I will return to win back my place

In the 3rd week of the UEFA Nations League A, Belgium defeated the Turkish National Football Team 3-0 at home. Speaking after the match, Romelu Lukaku evaluated both the goal he scored and his situation at Fenerbahçe.

Stating that he has changed teams at the end of transfer windows in recent years and is therefore used to playing quickly, Lukaku said that the process had progressed differently this time. The Belgian footballer stated that he would discuss the matter with Fenerbahçe shortly.

In the last 4 seasons, I transferred at the end of the transfer window and played immediately. This is not the first time it has happened like this. That's why I had a strange expression at the press conference. They could have taken a different approach, but I will discuss this issue with the club soon.

Saying that he is pleased to have scored, Lukaku emphasized that as a striker, he always wants to contribute to the score. The Belgian player pointed out the importance of the victory and expressed his happiness at being able to contribute to the team.

Stating that head coach Van Bommel makes his own choices, Lukaku argued that his situation would change if he could play regularly and at full capacity at Fenerbahçe. The experienced center-forward said, "I am sure that if I can play at 100 percent at Fenerbahçe, my situation will be different. Then it will be harder for the national team coach to make his selection."

Lukaku also explained his goal of making a strong return to Fenerbahçe with these words: "I am someone who goes full throttle at everything. I will return to Fenerbahçe to win back my place. I am happy that they saw I am in good condition today. I hope I return with a different status."
