Paris Saint-Germain win the Super Cup for the first time in their history

In the UEFA Süper Cup, Paris Saint-Germain defeated Tottenham 4-3 on penalties after a 2-2 draw at the end of normal time, claiming the title for the first time in their history.

The 50th UEFA Süper Cup brought together last year's Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain and Europa League holders Tottenham.

In the match played at the Friuli Stadium in Udine, Italy, and refereed by Portuguese official João Pinheiro, English side Tottenham took the lead in the 39th minute through Mickey van de Ven's goal, and the first half ended 1-0.

Tottenham started the second half strongly and extended their lead to 2-0 in the 48th minute with a goal from Cristian Romero. PSG pulled one back in the 85th minute when Kang-in Lee found the net to make it 2-1.

The French side levelled at 2-2 in the 90+4th minute through a header from Ramos.

With normal time ending 2-2, the match went to a penalty shootout. PSG prevailed 4-3 against the English side to claim the Super Cup for the first time in their history.
