It has been claimed that Real Madrid has added Roma midfielder Manu Kone to its transfer agenda. According to a report from the Spanish press outlet AS, the Madrid team considers the 25-year-old French footballer a high-potential option.
The report states that the scouting team at Real Madrid, led by Juni Calafat, has been monitoring Kone live at stadiums. While the club has an interest in the player, it was noted that a transfer depends on short-term squad planning.
It was reported that Kone has a 60 million euro release clause in his contract with Roma. The French midfielder's current market value is noted to be around 50 million euros.
It was emphasized that for Real Madrid to take concrete steps in this transfer, there must be a departure in their midfield rotation. Previously, Premier League clubs had been linked with Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga.
Manu Kone, who played 37 matches for Roma last season, contributed 2 goals and 3 assists. The player's contract with the Italian club runs until 2029.
