TFF condemns Jehezkel
Antalyaspor's Israeli player Sagiv Jehezkel has been condemned by the TFF for making a reference to the 100th day of the Israel-Gaza war.
Antalyaspor Club has excluded Israeli footballer Jehezkel from the squad after he made a reference to October 7, 2023, the date the Israel-Hamas war began, following a goal he scored in the Trabzonspor match.
The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has condemned Israeli footballer Sagiv Jehezkel.
The following statement was made on the TFF's website:
"We condemn the completely unacceptable behavior of footballer Sagiv Jehezkel during the Bitexen Antalyaspor-Trabzonspor match played in the Trendyol Super League.
We find the decision taken by Bitexen Antalyaspor to exclude the player from the squad to be appropriate. Necessary actions and disciplinary investigations regarding those responsible have been initiated immediately.
The public should have no doubt that the necessary steps will be taken regarding those responsible for this act, which disturbs human dignity and the conscience of the Turkish society."
