Uğur Uçar explains the reason for his departure in farewell to Arca Çorum FK

Head coach Uğur Uçar, who has parted ways with Arca Çorum FK, made a statement regarding the reason for his departure in a farewell message he published. Uçar stated that his tenure ended due to "differences of opinion" during a period in which they had collected 7 points in the first 6 matches of the Süper Lig.

In his statement, Uçar expressed that some farewells come after failures, while others come "after writing history." The young coach, who noted that he told his players about the Süper Lig goal on February 17, when he started the job, remarked that they viewed Çorum's long-standing longing as their own goal.

“On my first day, February 17, I told my players, ‘We will reach the Süper Lig.’ We made Çorum’s dreams, the children’s dreams, and the long-standing yearning of those who love this city our own dream. We became champions and carried Çorum to the Süper Lig for the first time in its history.”

Reminding that his tenure at Arca Çorum FK has ended, Uçar said that they were continuing their struggle with a team that had 21 new players join, but that disagreements with the management led to the separation.

“While we were continuing our struggle in the Süper Lig with 7 points collected in the first 6 matches with our team, which 21 new players joined, my tenure ended due to differences of opinion.”

While emphasizing that championships and trophies are very valuable for a head coach, Uçar stated that "earning a place in the heart of a city" is above all of those. He thanked the people of Çorum, the fans, club president Savaş Balçık, his players, his technical staff, and everyone who contributed.

The young coach also expressed that he will continue to work and develop in his career without giving up on the truths he believes in.
