İş Sanat announces: February program revealed
Hosting world-renowned names on its stage throughout the season, İş Sanat will present a program ranging from concerts and talks to recitals and children's plays to its audience. The February program at İş Sanat begins with a concert by the Wiener Concert-Verein and violinist Timothy Chooi.
MASTERCLASS BEFORE THE CONCERT
One day before his concert at the İş Towers Hall, Timothy Chooi will hold a masterclass to share his experiences with young musicians. Applications have opened for the “Timothy Chooi Violin-Viola Masterclass,” in which five conservatory students selected from the applicants will be able to participate actively.
The masterclass will be held on Tuesday, February 6, from 17:00 to 19:00 at the Türkiye İş Bankası Painting and Sculpture Museum Black Box Hall.
A MUSICAL JOURNEY TOWARDS THE ANCIENT CITY OF PATARA
İş Sanat’s musical children’s play "Pat Pat Patara" invites young theater lovers to the İş Towers Hall in February. Written by Yekta Kopan, Directed by Lerzan Pamir, the play, which takes place in the ancient city of Patara, will offer its audience an entertaining adventure. The play will be performed at the Is Towers Hall on Saturday, February 24, and Sunday, February 25, at 3:00 PM.
Beginning with the riddle, "It finds and unearths the knowledge of the past. It brings old values to the present day," the play follows archaeologist Asli as she leads Efe, Defne, and their classmates on a unique journey through the mysterious atmosphere of the ancient city of Patara.
The cast includes Özge Fışkın, Şeyla Halis Çiçekdemir, Baran Güler, Mert Aydın, Derman Çinkılıç, Elif Gizem Aykul, Emrecan Karakum, İrem Kayakököz and Mehmet Berker Korkmaz. The play features these actors.
NEZİHE MERİÇ'S STORIES ARE THE GUEST OF THIS MONTH'S RECITAL
In this month's recitals, where İş Sanat brings literature and music together, Nezihe Meriç's five stories will be featured. The recital titled "Green, rippling with shadows" will meet literature enthusiasts at the İş Towers Hall on February 19 at 8:30 PM.
The stories "Musician," "Some," "Closed Story-1," "Ray," and "Woman with a Basket" by Nezihe Meriç, one of the first female writers of the Republican era, will be performed by Tilbe Saran, Metin Belgin, Bülent Emin Yarar, Hakan Gerçek and Aslı Yılmaz will be performed.
The stories, presented alongside music in a stage setting that recreates an old radio recording studio, Atilla Birkiye arranged, and Mehmet Birkiye adapted for the stage.
Serdar Yalçın serves as the music director for the recital, which features Seda Subaşı (violin) and Şemsa İdil Ural (cello) will accompany.
SHINING STARS CONCERTS
The Shining Stars concerts, which İş Sanat continues to host to support musicians at the beginning of their careers by offering them stage experience, will take place on the evening of February 12 with Ahmet Efe Demirer (piano), Elif Su Yalın (cello), and on the evening of February 26 with Erinç Yorgancıoğlu (French horn) and Batu Yıldırım (piano) continues with. TWO NEW EXHIBITIONS AT İŞ SANAT THIS MONTH
The artist, who interprets the values of the human element that is disappearing in today's world and themes of life in his paintings, Oktay Anılanmert's exhibition opened at the İş Sanat Ankara Art Gallery on January 9, 2024. The exhibition, created with a selection from the exhibitions held in previous years by the artist whom we lost in 2018, can be visited for free until July 1 at the İş Sanat Ankara Art Gallery, located on the 3rd floor of the Museum of Economic Independence.
The Kibele Art Gallery, located in Levent, Istanbul, is hosting Hamit Görele'sis hosting a retrospective exhibition. CLASSICAL MUSIC CONCERTS AT İş Sanat
