Attention those hitting the road in Istanbul today! These roads are closed
Due to the 2026 International Asia and Europe Triathlon Championship, traffic flow has been halted on certain routes in Beykoz, Üsküdar, Sarıyer, and Beşiktaş.
Due to the 2026 International Asia and Europe Triathlon Championship taking place in Istanbul today, some roads in the city have been temporarily closed to traffic. As part of the measures taken by the Istanbul Police Department, the closures began at 04:45 and will continue until the end of the program.
In Beykoz and Üsküdar, all roads leading to the coastal direction of Atatürk Street, as well as Cuma Yolu Street and Körfez Street, have been closed to vehicle traffic. In this area, Küçüksu Street, Göksu Street, Mehmet Ali Birand Street, and the Kavacık direction of Atatürk Street have been designated as alternative routes for drivers.
Arrangements have also been made for TEM Highway connections. The transit road from the Maslak-Sarıyer side road exits to the Ankara direction on the TEM Highway south, the direction from the TEM Highway south Maslak side road to the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge, and the entries to the TEM south from the Levent and Etiler-Baltalimanı directions have been closed.
The Ankara direction of the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge, the exits from the TEM south to the Anatolian direction, the New Riva Road, and the traffic flow from Kavacık to Atatürk Street will also be closed. On these lines, Büyükdere Street, the North Marmara Highway direction, the D-100 south 15 July Martyrs Bridge, the Eurasia Tunnel Ankara direction, and the route from Kavacık over the bridge to the TEM south Ankara direction can be used.
In Sarıyer and Beşiktaş, the Sarıyer and Zincirlikuyu-Levent directions of Büyükdere Street and the traffic flow from the Çilekli Facilities to the TEM south have been closed. Drivers in this region are planned to be directed to Büyükdere Street and Uğur Mumcu Street.
