Footage has emerged regarding the traffic accident in the Akhisar district of Manisa, which resulted in 11 deaths and 26 injuries. The accident occurred at the junction of the O5 İzmir-İstanbul Highway, on the connection road to the Akhisar toll booths in the direction of İzmir.
According to the statement from the Akhisar Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a tour bus with license plate 16 AED 124, driven by M.A., collided with a tow truck with license plate 78 YD 559, driven by H.K., at 11:09. Following the accident, the injured were transported to nearby hospitals.
The Chief Public Prosecutor's Office announced that 3 public prosecutors have been assigned to clarify the incident. Within the scope of the investigation, the tour bus driver M.A., the bus owner and reserve driver M.Y., and the tow truck driver H.K. have been detained.
The statement noted that the investigation into the accident is continuing with "utmost diligence." Meanwhile, it was reported that footage believed to be of the accident has also emerged.
