Femicide in Manisa: Strangled, she lost her life
50-year-old Hacer Saydan, who was allegedly strangled by her husband in Turgutlu, lost her life one day later at the hospital where she had been taken.
50-year-old Hacer Saydan, who was allegedly strangled by her husband Sait Saydan in the Turgutlu district of Manisa, has passed away at the hospital where she was receiving treatment.
The incident occurred on Friday around 09:00 at a house on Cumhuriyet Street in the Turan neighborhood. According to reports, an argument broke out between Sait Saydan and Hacer Saydan for reasons yet unknown. It is stated that during the argument, Sait Saydan strangled his wife with his hands.
It was learned that after Hacer Saydan lost consciousness, Sait Saydan called the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon the report, health and police teams were dispatched to the address. Saydan, who was found to be unconscious, was taken to Turgutlu State Hospital after the initial intervention by medical teams.
While police teams launched an investigation into the incident, Sait Saydan was taken into custody. After his procedures at the police station, Saydan was referred to the courthouse on Saturday and was arrested by the court on charges of "attempted intentional homicide."
The tragic news regarding Hacer Saydan, who was continuing her treatment at the hospital, came one day later. Saydan's funeral was laid to rest in the Sart neighborhood of Salihli following procedures at the Forensic Medicine Institute morgue.
