A serious traffic accident occurred in the Akhisar district of Manisa on the Istanbul highway when a passenger bus collided with a semi-truck.
According to initial reports, 11 people lost their lives in the accident, and 27 people were injured. Detailed information regarding the condition of the injured has not yet been shared.
It was reported that road safety and intervention efforts are being carried out in the area following the accident.
Manisa Governor Vahdettin Özkan announced that 1 of the 27 injured is in critical condition.

According to initial reports, 11 of our citizens have passed away and 26 of our citizens have been injured in the traffic accident that occurred in the Akhisar district of Manisa.
Our AFAD, police, gendarmerie, fire department, and 112 emergency health teams were rapidly dispatched to the scene and have begun intervention efforts. We are closely following the process together with all our relevant institutions.
I wish God's mercy upon our citizens who lost their lives, and patience and condolences to their grieving families; I wish a speedy recovery to our injured.
May God protect our country and our dear nation from all kinds of accidents and disasters.
