Adıyaman has taken the top spot in a ranking of provinces with the lowest crime rates in Turkey. The list, based on TUIK data, compares the number of crimes per 100,000 people according to the population of the provinces.
According to the ranking, 156 crimes per 100,000 people were recorded in Adıyaman. Adıyaman was followed by Şırnak with a crime rate of 159 per 100,000. Bitlis and Siirt were listed in third and fourth place with a crime rate of 175 per 100,000.
