Suspect who tortured 2-year-old baby Aren in Denizli arrested
A person detained on allegations of beating a baby in the Sarayköy district of Denizli has been arrested and sent to prison.
25-year-old S.D., who was detained by the Sarayköy District Police Department teams, was referred to the courthouse following police procedures. The suspect, who was brought before the court on charges of "intentional injury," was arrested and sent to prison. It was stated that S.D. exercised his right to remain silent at the police station.
The incident came to light when 2-year-old A.K. was brought to the Sarayköy State Hospital Emergency Service by her mother, S.B.D. During the examination, a fracture was detected in the baby's right arm, along with signs of battery on various parts of her body. A.K.'s treatment is continuing at Pamukkale University Hospital.
In her statement, the mother, S.B.D., said that she began living with S.D. after divorcing her husband and that S.D. would subject them to violence after consuming alcohol. The Ministry of Family and Social Services announced that the baby, who is receiving treatment at the hospital, will be taken under state protection.
