Two brothers clash with knives in Kayseri: Father in custody

In the Kocasinan district of Kayseri, an older brother and his younger brother were injured in a knife fight that reportedly broke out between them in a detached house. In the investigation launched into the incident, the father, H.A.Ö., was taken into custody following the testimony of the injured son.

According to the information obtained, the incident occurred at a detached residence on 621st Street in the Talatpaşa neighborhood. A dispute broke out between the older brother K.Ö. and his younger brother F.Ö. for reasons yet unknown. It was learned that the argument escalated, leading the two brothers to attack each other with knives, resulting in both of them sustaining injuries to various parts of their bodies.

Upon notification, police and medical teams were dispatched to the address. While the police took security measures in the area, medical teams provided the first intervention to the injured brothers at the scene. K.Ö. and F.Ö. were taken to the hospital by ambulance. Teams conducted an investigation in the house and the garden.

It was learned that F.Ö., who was taken to the Erciyes University Faculty of Medicine Hospital, stated in his testimony that his father, H.A.Ö., also took part in the knife fight. Following this statement, the father, H.A.Ö., was taken into custody, underwent a health check, and was taken to the police station.

When asked by members of the press, H.A.Ö. denied the allegation against him, saying, "It is not as my son said. There is absolutely no such thing. I don't know why he gave such a statement. The fight took place between my sons. I only went there when I heard about the fight."
