176 UN staff killed in Israel's attacks on Gaza
The United Nations (UN) has announced that 176 of its staff members have been killed in the Gaza Strip, where the Israeli army has been continuing its attacks for nearly 6 months.
A statement regarding the situation in Gaza was issued by the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).
It was stated that 176 UNRWA staff members have lost their lives in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, when Israel began its attacks.
The statement noted that Israel's obstruction of UNRWA's efforts to deliver food and other basic necessities to northern Gaza continues.
According to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), Israel has denied 30 percent of planned humanitarian aid missions to northern Gaza since March 1.
