Assad administration Prime Minister al-Jalali agrees to transfer power to the Idlib-based Syrian Salvation Government
Syrian opposition leader Abu Mohammad al-Julani met with Assad regime Prime Minister Mohammad Ghazi al-Jalali. Following the meeting, al-Jalali agreed to transfer power to the Idlib-based Syrian Salvation Government.
Syrian opposition leader Abu Mohammad al-Julani met with Assad regime Prime Minister Mohammad Ghazi al-Jalali in the capital, Damascus, following the fall of the Assad regime.
The meeting was also attended by Mohammad al-Bashir, head of the Idlib-based Syrian Salvation Government, who is alleged to be appointed as prime minister in the transitional government to be established in Syria.
During the meeting, al-Julani told al-Jalali that despite "starting from scratch," the Syrian Salvation Government has gained experience and achieved significant successes over the last four years.
Al-Julani also announced that the transitional government would benefit from the experience of the former administration.
Following the meeting, al-Jalali announced that he had agreed to transfer power to the Idlib-based Syrian Salvation Government.
