Assassination of Russian officer in Crimea: Woman alleged to be acting on behalf of Ukrainian special services detained

A Russian officer has been killed in an assassination in the city of Sevastopol in Crimea, which was annexed by Russia. Regional Governor Mikhail Razvozhayev announced in a statement regarding the attack that a woman suspected of being linked to the incident has been detained.
Razvozhayev stated that the suspect was apprehended on allegations of acting on behalf of Ukrainian special services. There has been no official statement from Ukraine regarding the matter yet.
Russian authorities did not share information regarding the identity of the murdered officer or the detained woman. The Russian state news agency TASS, citing intelligence services, reported that the suspect is a Russian citizen.
The Moscow administration has previously held Kyiv responsible for several attacks targeting high-ranking military officials and individuals linked to Russia's war efforts in Ukraine.
In a separate incident that occurred on the same night in Sevastopol, an explosion took place during the disposal of an explosive device. Governor Razvozhayev announced that 5 people lost their lives in this explosion.
