Germany issues 'urgent' call to its citizens in Iran
Germany has called on its citizens in Iran to leave the country immediately.
In a statement posted on the social media account of the German Embassy in Tehran, titled "Renewed urgent call for German citizens in Iran to leave the country," it was stated that the situation of tension in Iran and the region continues.
The statement noted that the possibility of the security situation worsening further and the occurrence of military conflicts cannot be ruled out, and therefore, the call for German citizens to leave Iran was being reiterated.
The statement urged German citizens to take into account that in the event of an escalation of tension, the Foreign Ministry and the German Embassy in Tehran might be "unable to provide almost any support" for leaving the country, and called on them to use existing means to depart.
