Iran summons German Ambassador to Tehran to Foreign Ministry

Iran has summoned the German Ambassador to Tehran, Axel Dittmann, to the Foreign Ministry due to "anti-Iran activities" in Germany and the "contrary to international law" stance of German officials.

In a statement issued by the ministry, it was stated that Ambassador Dittmann was informed of the condemnation of anti-Iran actions and activities in Germany, particularly the "harboring and support of violent and terrorist elements and groups."

The statement emphasized that the aforementioned stance and actions contradict the fundamental principles of international law and the United Nations Charter, noting that this situation would lead to Germany being held responsible under international law.

It was reported that German Ambassador Dittmann stated he would convey Iran's objections and messages to Berlin as soon as possible.

Anti-Iran protest in Munich

On February 14, a large-scale anti-Iran protest was held in the German city of Munich, following a call by the exiled Reza Pahlavi, the eldest son of the deposed Iranian Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi.

According to German police estimates, approximately 200,000 to 250,000 people attended the demonstration, which took place concurrently with the 62nd Munich Security Conference, with protesters chanting slogans in support of anti-regime movements in Iran and calling for democracy and human rights.

Speaking at the demonstration, Reza Pahlavi called on the international community to support the protests in Iran and invited world leaders to stand in solidarity with the Iranian people.
