Israeli Chief of General Staff Halevi reiterates 'we failed' message
Israeli Chief of General Staff Halevi made assessments regarding the current agenda at a press conference he held in northern Israel.
Stating that the Israeli army is ready for attacks on the blockaded Gaza Strip, Halevi expressed that they are using the "humanitarian pause" in the fighting to review their preparations.
Halevi stated that the Israeli army will not stop until all hostages in Gaza are released.
"EVERYTHING WILL BE INVESTIGATED"
Regarding reports that the army had intelligence about the plans of Hamas's military wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades, for the October 7 attack, but that high-ranking officers largely ignored the warnings of their subordinates, Halevi stated that everything will be investigated after the attacks on Gaza.
Reiterating the message that the Israeli army, including the Military Intelligence Directorate, failed on October 7, Halevi argued that there will be serious investigations into this, but that for now, they must focus on the attacks on Gaza.
