Israeli Defense Minister Gallant admits to cost of Gaza and ground operations
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant announced that the Israeli army has "achieved significant successes" in its ground operations in the blockaded Gaza Strip, "but has paid a heavy price."
Gallant made assessments regarding the attacks on Gaza and the ground operation during a visit to an Israeli Air Force unit.
Stating that a large number of Israeli soldiers have been deployed to the Gaza Strip, Gallant noted that clashes are taking place between ground troops and Palestinian groups.
"UNFORTUNATELY, WAR HAS A PRICE"
Defense Minister Gallant argued that Israeli forces have "achieved significant successes" in the aforementioned clashes, stating, "Unfortunately, war has a price. The price paid in the last day was quite heavy."
The Israeli army announced in a statement today that 2 of its soldiers were killed and two others were seriously injured in the clashes in the northern Gaza Strip.
