New appointment to Turkey's Washington Embassy
Ambassador Sedat Önal, who currently serves as the Permanent Representative to the United Nations, has been appointed as Turkey's Ambassador to Washington, while Deputy Foreign Minister Ahmet Yıldız will take over the position vacated by Önal.
According to information obtained from diplomatic sources, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan notified the individuals who will serve as Turkey's Ambassador to Washington and Permanent Representative to the UN in New York of their new assignments via telephone.

Önal, who currently holds the position of Turkey's Permanent Representative to the UN in New York, has been assigned the new role of Ambassador to Washington.
The position of Turkey's Permanent Representative to the UN, which will be vacated by Önal, has been assigned to Deputy Foreign Minister Ahmet Yıldız.
