New Central Bank of Syria governor appointed
Following the opposition's takeover in Syria, Ayşe el-Dibs was appointed as the Head of the Women's Affairs Office. The new administration has now appointed its second high-ranking female official to the Central Bank of Syria. Maysaa Sabrin, who served as the bank's deputy governor under the Assad regime, has been appointed as the new governor.
Changes continue in Syria. Maysaa Sabrin, who served as deputy to Muhammed İssam—appointed to the post in 2021—has become the new governor of the Central Bank of Syria. Sabrin, who has been appointed to lead the country's Central Bank, is the first woman to hold this position.

Sabrin stands out as the first woman in the country's history to hold this position. Sabrin had been continuing her career in the finance sector as a member of the Board of Directors of the "Damascus Securities Exchange" since December 2018. She also served in critical positions such as deputy governor and head of the office audit department at the Central Bank.
