New US airstrike on Yemen
It has been announced that one person was killed and five others were injured in four airstrikes carried out by the US on the Yemeni capital, Sanaa. The Houthis reacted by describing the attacks as a "brutal crime."
According to reports from the Houthi-run Al-Masirah television in Yemen, the US carried out four airstrikes on the Jadr area in the Bani Al-Harith district, located north of the capital, Sanaa.
Anis Al-Asbahi, spokesperson for the Houthi-affiliated Ministry of Health, stated that one person was killed and five others were injured as a result of the attacks. Al-Asbahi accused the US of committing "brutal crimes" against Yemeni civilians.
TENSIONS ESCALATE BETWEEN THE HOUTHIS AND THE US
On March 7, the Houthis had given Israel a four-day deadline to allow humanitarian aid into Gaza, announcing that they would otherwise resume their maritime operations.
Following this statement, US President Donald Trump announced on the Truth Social platform on March 15 that he had instructed the military to launch a "major attack" against Houthi forces in Yemen.
Houthi leader Abdul-Malik al-Houthi stated that they would retaliate against the US attacks, announcing that American aircraft and warships would be targeted.
DEATH TOLL RISES IN ATTACKS
The Houthis announced that a total of 79 people have lost their lives and 107 people have been injured so far in the airstrikes carried out by the US and the UK on Yemen, including in the capital, Sanaa.
