Shocking discovery: Former footballer caught with 1.5 tons of cocaine

In a large-scale drug operation conducted by Portuguese authorities, it was reported that former Serbian footballer Uros Milosevic was caught with approximately 1.5 tons of cocaine. According to reports in the Serbian press, the 37-year-old Milosevic was detained while driving a small truck that also contained firearms.

The market value of the seized drugs is estimated to be around 70 million euros. According to the reports, the shipment belonged to a structure linked to the "Balkan Cartel," which is said to operate in Portugal and Spain.

It is alleged that Milosevic was part of a cell working on a smuggling route between the two countries. It was stated that the former footballer is currently being held in a detention unit under the Lisbon Judicial Police while the investigation and legal proceedings continue.

The operation was reported to be part of a joint effort carried out last week by the Portuguese Judicial Police and the Spanish National Police. It was stated that other Serbian suspects were also caught in Spain as part of the same investigation, and a total of 3.7 tons of drugs were seized.

It was noted that Uros Milosevic played for Serbian clubs such as Cukaricki, IMT Rakovica, Teleoptik, and Sindjelic Belgrade during his football career.
