SpaceX accused of firing employees who criticized Elon Musk
The U.S. National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) has accused rocket and satellite manufacturer SpaceX of illegally firing several employees who criticized the company's CEO, Elon Musk.
In a complaint issued by the NLRB's regional office, it is alleged that 8 employees were fired in 2022 for calling on SpaceX to distance itself from social media comments made by Musk that mocked sexual harassment allegations.
THE COMPANY THREATENS TO FIRE WORKERS
The complaint states that the letter distributed by the employees also called on SpaceX to clarify its harassment policies and enforce them consistently, and notes that the distribution of said letter was illegally restricted.
In the complaint, SpaceX is also accused of interrogating employees regarding the letter and threatening to fire workers who engaged in similar activities.
