US military: More than 1,700 targets hit in Iran
The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that more than 1,700 targets were hit in airstrikes against Iran.
The US military has issued a statement regarding the airstrikes conducted against Iran in coordination with Israel as part of "Operation Epic Fury."
In a statement released by the United States Central Command (CENTCOM), it was noted that more than 1,700 targets have been struck since the operations began on Saturday. Another statement noted, "US Navy guided-missile destroyers are providing relentless and overwhelming firepower from regional waters, day and night."
CENTCOM's post included footage of various guided munitions being fired from US Navy warships. In its statement, CENTCOM also accused the Tehran administration of "attempting to inflict maximum damage on other countries in the region." The post, which featured footage of Iranian missile launch ramps being struck, stated, "The Iranian regime is firing missiles indiscriminately using mobile launch ramps to inflict maximum damage across the region. US forces are hunting these threats and eliminating them without apology or hesitation."
In a statement that also shared footage of Iranian UAVs being struck on the ground and on their launch platforms, it was stated, "The Iranian regime's lethal unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) have posed a threat in the Middle East for years. These UAVs are no longer a tolerable risk."
