US sets a time: 'Naval blockade of Iran to begin'

The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has announced that it will begin a naval blockade of all ships entering or leaving Iranian ports at 17:00 (TRT) on April 13.

In a statement released on CENTCOM's X account, it was stated that the naval blockade of Iranian ports would begin today.

The statement included the following: "In accordance with the President's (Donald Trump) directive, CENTCOM forces will begin implementing a blockade on all maritime traffic entering and leaving Iranian ports at 10:00 (17:00 TRT) on April 13." It was emphasized that the naval blockade in question would be applied "impartially" against ships of all nations entering or leaving all Iranian ports and coastal regions, including those in the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman.

The statement further noted that CENTCOM forces would not obstruct the voyages of ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz that are traveling to or from ports outside of Iran.
